Melt! festival

Melt! has been running since 1997, and takes place in Ferropolis (the city of steel), near the town of Dessau, just 2.5 hours south of Berlin.

The site is an open-air museum of mining and excavating equipment, and the festival takes place in and around a collection of hulking great digging machines from the mid-20th century. At night, with the spot-lit machines acting as a bizarre backdrop, thousands of people party til the wee hours at one of Europe's most universally popular festivals. Having recently won "Best Medium sized Festival" at the European Festival awards Melt! is one event you don't want to miss this summer.

The festival always boasts a stellar line-up, and 2018 looks set to be no exception with performances from The xx, Florence + The Machine, Nina Kraviz, Tyler, The Creator, Mura Masa, Jon Hopkins LIVE, Ben Klock, Princess Nokia, The Black Madonna, Ellen Allien - and many more!

Now in it's 22nd year, Melt! has become one of the most international festivals on the circuit, attracting visitors from all over Europe, and staking a serious claim as one of the most exciting festivals on the planet.
