Positivus confirms headliner schedule

Positivus festival one day tickets are purchasable starting today - April 25th. Along with the tickets, Positivus has also announced the headliner schedules for both of the festival’s main stages – the Tele2 and the Nordea stages.



On Friday, July 19 the festival’s main stage – the Tele2 stage will be kick-started into action by Austria’s ambient instrumental techno trio Elektro Guzzi, followed by the Estonian synth-pop siren Iiris and the dynamic Canadian punk duo Crystal Castles. Friday’s Tele2 stage programme will conclude with the performance of one of the festival’s most anticipated acts Noah and the Whale.

The festival’s Nordea stage’s Friday, July 19 line-up will feature the U.S. alternative rock and rap fusion band Twenty One Pilots, one of this year’s most promising emerging acts of the Brit-indie-rock genre Palma Violets and the legendary Latvian electro band Zodiaks.

On Saturday, July 20 the Tele2 stage will be headlined by the highly anticipated Sigur Rós. The stage will also feature performances by one of the hottest global indie-rock acts Imagine Dragons, the Latvian 90’s cult band Jauns Mēness as well as the stylish 60’s revivalist Willy Moon.

Team Ghost and their heard swirling, noisy guitar indie-rock sound will commence the Nordea stage programme. The stage will also be shared by the British electro, indie and synthpop starlet Charli XCX as well as the U.S. American singer/songwriter John Grant.

On Sunday, July 21, the Tele2 stage will host one of the most critically acclaimed modern dream pop bands The XX. Two Door Cinema Club will return to the festival as an indie-pop act of remarkable proportions. The Tele2 stage will also be shared by the highly acclaimed 24 year old British soul, jazz and folk musician Michael Kiwanuka, one of Britain’s newest indie folk sensations Tom Odell as well as the Welsh alternative rock band The Joy Formidable.

The restless Californian disco-punkers and indie-rockers !!! (generally pronounced "chk chk chk") will headline the Nordea stage on Sunday. The stage will also host one of Denmark’s most successful alternative rock, folk and pop bands Efterklang, the dynamic New York based pop-rock act Darwin Deez, Montreal’s rockers Suuns and the secretive and brilliantly intriguing British electro trio No Ceremony.

Positivus festival has also started the sale of one day tickets - ensuring that visitors can also purchase tickets for specific festival days. The one day ticket price is LVL 21 (EUR 30). Friday’s ticket will allow the festival site entry for one person from midday - 12:00 until 05:00 the next morning, Saturday’s ticket - from 9:00 until 05:00 the next morning and Sunday’s ticket - from 9:00 until 02:00 the next morning. 

A three day ticket (without camping space) costs GBP 45 and a three day ticket with camping space costs GBP 50. The ticket prices will increase as the festival dates approach. Positivus Festival 2013 tickets are available here.
