Romania’s biggest electronic festival, Electric Castle is a festival like no other. With a unique location in Transylvania’s largest castle and 24 acres of stunning countryside, Electric Castle undoubtedly has one of Europe’s most beautiful festival locations.
The festival is a potent cocktail of music, urban sports and activities including cinema, disco and workshops for audio production. Electric Castle is the festival that never sleeps, for 4 days and 5 nights, there will always be somewhere to party from dawn till dusk.
Both the Dance Garden and the Reggae stage are home to non-stop music and incredible after parties. You can expect to hear artists such as Mungo’s Hi Fi, Channel One, Adam Freeland, Sasha and many more. Each night the Silent Dance programme will host a silent disco until 3am where 3 dj’s will play simultaneously and festival goers can switch between channels.
For a festival that started just last year, Electric Castle is showing incredible pulling power, attracting world renowned artists and the best that contemporary electronica can offer, including Die Antwoord, Thievery Corporation, The Correspondents, Dub Pistols, Mungo’s Hi Fi, Bonobo , DJ Fresh, Gramatik, Sasha and so many more. With 138 top artists in this year’s billing Electric Castle is hosting a line-up that is going to be hard to beat.
However, Electric Castle is about so much more than jaw-dropping line-ups. This year the festival will also be home to a skate park and 100 meter long dirt bike track. Over 70,000 people are expected to pass through the gates of Electric Castle this year and we strongly suggest that you make yourself one of them. With a weekend camping tickets costing just £54 there’s no reason to miss out on this incredible event.
