The Bilbao BBK Live Festival is a rock and pop music festival which takes place every summer in the mountains of Kobetamendi Park, a natural space only 5 minutes from the centre of Bilbao with spectacular views over the city.

In only five years it has become one of the greatest Spanish and European music Festivals. Started in 2006 with the aim of putting Bilbao on the map of the big European Festivals, it has achieved its goal beyond all expectations.

Famous artists who have appeared at the Festival include The Police, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, REM, Depeche Mode, Iron Maiden, Lenny Kravitz, Guns n’ Roses, Placebo, Ben Hardper, Jane’s Addiction and Blondie.

Radiohead have already been confirmed as this year's headliners - their only show in Spain this summer. Other acts for 2012 include The Cure, Noah And The Whale, Snow Patrol, The Kooks, Band Of Skulls, The Gift, Inspector Cruzo, Tribes, Zoe, Corizonas, The Kooks, Glasvegas and Warpaint.

More than 300,000 people have attended the festival since it began, with a growing audience of French and British music lovers.

The festival site covers an area of more than 100,000 square metres that has the capacity to receive 40,000 people per day. Its facilities include; two main stages, a DJ tent, dance tent, chill out area, camp site, market, food area, and there are free shuttle buses providing a 5 minute service to the site from Bilbao or Barakaldo.
