The Bilbao BBK Live Festival is a rock and pop music festival which takes place every summer in the mountains of Kobetamendi Park, just outside the centre of Bilbao with spectacular views over the city.

In only six years it has become one of the greatest European music Festivals. Started in 2006 with the aim of putting Bilbao on the map of the big European Festivals, it has achieved its goal beyond all expectations.

Famous artists who have appeared at the festival include Radiohead, The Cure, The Police, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, REM, Iron Maiden, Guns n’ Roses, Placebo, Ben Harper and Blondie. Check out the 2012 promo video below:

Depeche Mode, Green Day and Two Door Cinema Club have already been confirmed as this year's headliners, and this will be your only chance to see Green Day in Spain in 2013.

More than 300,000 people have attended the festival since it began, with a growing audience of French and British music lovers.

The festival site covers an area of more than 100,000 square metres that has the capacity to receive 40,000 people per day. Its facilities include; two main stages, a DJ tent, dance tent, chill out area, camp site, market, food area, and there are free shuttle buses providing a 5 minute service to the site from Bilbao or Barakaldo.
