Can you hear the Echo?
Over the last few years, Croatia has established itself as the continent’s festival capital, with more music per square foot than anywhere else in Europe. And now it looks like the country might have to make room for one more, with the launch of one of the summer’s most eagerly anticipated musical events - Echo Festival in Makarska.
Echo is an intimate electronic music festival situated on this picturesque Croatian bay, halfway between the cities of Split and Dubrovnik. The event will bring together a selection of the most talented UK DJs pushing the house, tech and bass scenes at the moment.
The finest beats and sounds will keep punters moving and shaking, backed up with some soul funk and disco to keep the daytime grooves light and easy. At Echo, you will be able to dance with the sun on you back and your feet in the sea, and experience three days of music the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
With a grass-roots approach, Echo started off as a small collaboration of club nights in Brighton. As its momentum – and reputation – has grown, so Echo has been able to expand its musical base. Working only with hand-picked talent, the organisers are pursuing their goal of creating a unique new approach to the concept of music festivals, enhanced by a finely-tuned musical progression.
Echo’s organisers are proud to expose increasingly talented, fresh and established artists, nights and record labels, from the underground electronic scene. Already confirmed are top London talents Cozzy D and Alexis Raphael, while top name nights from the Brighton and Bristol scenes such as Kung Fu and Roots Garden will all be represented.
